Tor Network and Anonymity
What is Tor Network?
Tor (The Onion Router) is a network system that provides anonymous internet access to users. Tor hides the user's identity by routing traffic through multiple servers.
How Does Tor Work?
Tor routes traffic through three randomly selected servers. Each server only knows the previous and next server, thus ensuring complete anonymity.
Tor Use Cases
Tor is used by users who need privacy, journalists, activists, and those who want to avoid censorship. However, malicious use is also possible.
